Ashley Daub

Therapist /Counselor (Qualifying)

Addiction Recovery Coach and Mental Wellness Support Practitioner with a background in psychology and addiction counselling studies. I support individuals navigating addiction recovery, emotional challenges, and personal growth using a holistic and trauma-informed approach. My work integrates recovery-focused guidance, motivational support, CBT and DBT-informed tools, mindfulness practices, and creative approaches such as art-based reflection. I aim to create a supportive space where individuals can explore challenges, develop practical coping strategies, and build sustainable wellbeing.

About Me

With a background in psychology and ongoing training in addiction counselling, I support individuals navigating addiction recovery, emotional challenges, and periods of personal transition. My work is grounded in compassion, practical support, and the belief that recovery involves not only overcoming substance use, but also building emotional resilience, self-awareness, and healthier ways of coping with life’s challenges. In addition to recovery-focused guidance, I integrate approaches such as motivational support, CBT and DBT-informed techniques, mindfulness practices, and creative exploration through art-based reflection. These tools can help individuals express emotions that may be difficult to articulate and support deeper insight into patterns that may contribute to distress. My goal is to create a safe, supportive environment where clients feel heard and encouraged in their journey toward healing, personal growth, and sustainable wellbeing.

Approach

My approach combines practical recovery tools with holistic wellbeing practices. I work collaboratively with clients to develop coping strategies, emotional awareness, and sustainable routines that support long-term recovery and personal growth. Sessions may incorporate elements of motivational support, CBT and DBT-informed strategies, mindfulness practices, and creative reflection through art-based techniques. These approaches help individuals build practical skills while also exploring the emotional patterns and experiences that may influence behaviour and wellbeing. I offer support in English through online sessions, providing a flexible and accessible environment for adolescents, adults, parents, individuals, or groups. Sessions are paced according to each person's needs and focus on building resilience, strengthening self-understanding, and supporting meaningful change.
