Mgr Anney Roy, PhD

Psychologist

A compassionate and experienced person-centred body-oriented psychologist. Currently a PhD in Medical Psychology and Psychopathology.

About Me

I am a psychologist who worked in Haarlem, North Holland, Netherlands. Then I moved to Prague, Czech Republic, and also have an office in Muscat, Oman. Now, I work remotely. I treat trauma, work with dreams, and support personal development. I offer psychometric testing, relationship counseling, mindfulness, and health psychology in a confidential, down-to-earth setting.

Approach

I use holistic and research-based therapies such as Gestalt Therapy and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction for you to get the most out of our sessions together, in case Cognitive Behavioural Therapy does not work for you. Is your mind-body or work-life balance suffering? Are you not happy sexually or emotionally in your relationship(s)? Have you experienced physical or emotional trauma (e.g., heart aches, shock, dissociation, etc.)? Through talk-based therapy, you will experience increased self-awareness and heightened introspection. We can discuss how to optimise this in your personal life to remove suffering. Self-work is a significant part of therapy (so are your parents). Have you tried Ganzfeld Effect Therapy before? It is a white-noise and red-light stimulation therapy. The online integration provokes positive mental and physical health by inducing an altered state of consciousness. Red is the colour of the root chakra. It is also the centre for emotional and spiritual balance, and facilitates relaxation. On the other hand, white noise helps with attention deficits and learning. When combined, it is effective for: 1. Emotional regulation 2. Anxiety 3. Depression 4. Stress 5. Trauma (prevention, inhibition & recovery) 6. Tension 7. Identity confusion 8. Muscle relaxation 9. Lowering blood pressure 10. Regaining homeostasis 11. Altered states of consciousness 12. Neural entrainment Don't believe me. Try it for yourself.
