Psychological Counselor

I am a Greek licensed Psychologist and a Psychological Counsellor, based in Berlin. I have lived in Greece, Spain and the UK. I have experience working with people from diverse socio-cultural backgrounds. In my practice I offer a warm and non-judgemental space for you to explore your needs, self and relationships.

About Me

I’m a Greek-licensed Psychologist and an Integrative/Humanistic Psychological Counsellor (PGDip, BACP & UKCP-accredited training), with a BA in Psychology and an MA in Psychosocial Intervention. My background spans humanitarian work with refugees and asylum seekers in Greece, supporting children with developmental trauma in the UK care system, and several years in private practice working with developmental and sexual trauma, anxiety, gender identity, and relational struggles. That range means I’ve sat with people at very different points of the “in-between” — newly arrived, long settled but still not quite belonging, or somewhere in the middle. I don’t see multicultural identity as a complication to work around. It’s part of the map I use to understand you.

Approach

Humanistic & person-centred — you lead the pace and direction. My job is to offer a space that’s warm, honest, and free of judgment, grounded in the belief that you already hold the capacity for your own growth. Psychodynamic — looking at how earlier experiences, relationships, and environments quietly shape the patterns you live out now, often without realising it. Relational — the relationship between us is not incidental to the work, it is a lot of the work. Feeling genuinely seen and safe with another person is often where real change begins. Trauma-informed — especially relevant for experiences of displacement, migration, or early developmental trauma, where the nervous system — not just the story — needs to feel safe before insight can land. Internal Family Systems (IFS) — I often use the language of “parts” to help you get curious about the different, sometimes conflicting, voices inside you, rather than treating any one of them as the whole truth of who you are. Mindfulness — simple tools for coming back into the present moment, useful for anxiety, overwhelm, and the general noise of living between languages and cultures.

Services

Counselling, not clinical diagnosis It’s worth being clear about what this work is, and isn’t. State-regulated psychotherapy in Germany usually starts from a diagnostic lens: your experience gets mapped onto a clinical category (a disorder, a diagnosis code) so that the “right” treatment protocol can be applied. That model has its place, and for some it’s genuinely necessary. Person-centred, integrative counselling starts from a different premise. You are not a diagnosis to be treated — you’re a whole person with your own agency, history, and capacity for growth, and my role is to walk alongside that process rather than direct it from above. Nothing here is about labelling what’s “wrong” with you. It’s about creating the conditions — safety, understanding, a genuine relationship — in which you can understand yourself more clearly and make the changes you want to make, at your own pace.
