Aisling

Ms Aisling Bruce, BSc

Counselor

I am a qualified and experienced counsellor and psychotherapist based in Dublin city. I work with a range of issues. I work from a Humanistic and Integrative approach using aspects of CBT, Psychodynamic and Existential therapies. I provide a safe, empathetic and supportive space for clients.

About Me

Hi there, I’m Aisling. I work with people who are feeling overwhelmed, stretched, or not quite like themselves anymore. You may be experiencing anxiety, depression, grief or a difficult period in your life, or you may be carrying deeper or longstanding experiences that are affecting how you feel, think or relate to others. You might feel stuck in patterns that are difficult to shift, or find yourself reacting in ways that don’t feel like you. I offer a calm, supportive and non-judgemental space where you can slow things down, make sense of what’s going on, and begin to feel more steady and understood. My work is grounded in a person-centred approach, meaning I meet you where you are and work collaboratively with you, at a pace that feels right for you. My approach is warm and empathic, drawing on approaches such as CBT, attachment, psychodynamic and family systems therapy, where appropriate. I tailor our work to your individual needs and experiences, recognising that no two people are the same and that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. You can expect therapy with me to be a collaborative process. Together, we can explore your thoughts, feelings, experiences and patterns, develop greater self-understanding, and work towards meaningful change. My aim is to provide a space where you feel safe to be yourself and supported in moving forward in a way that feels right for you.

Approach

With an integrative, human-centred stance I focus on how your story and current patterns meet practical steps in each session, helping us move from understanding to small, doable change. Sessions are paced to your needs—sometimes reflective and exploratory, at other times structured with cognitive tools and brief tasks between meetings. We attend to safety, attachment and meaning alongside anxiety, grief or trauma, shaping gentle experiments and deeper reflection as suits you.
