About Me

Hi! I am Afsal Moosa K.K., a Clinical Psychologist working at Mind Weavers, holding an M.Sc. and M.Phil in Clinical Psychology. My career includes significant roles such as an Assistant Professor at the Psychology Department of St. Joseph College, Devagiri, Calicut, Kerala, and as a lead trainer for the ASAP Smile Project by the government of Kerala.

Approach

I prefer an eclectic approach to therapy. I have been trained in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-based interventions, dialectic behavioral therapy (DBT), currently under training in trauma-focused ACT. My area of interest includes mood disorders, addictions, neurotic spectrum disorders such as obsession and compulsion, severe stress and adjustment disorders, phobic anxiety disorders, dissociative disorders, somatoform disorder etc., trauma, sexual disorders, eating disorders, grief and bereavement, personality disorders and developmental disorders.
