Who registers therapists in Kenya?
The title you will see is Counsellor. The register is held by the Counsellors and Psychologists Board (CPB). The Board's online check asks for an application number, not a name.
Using the title psychologist or counsellor without eligibility for registration is an offence in Kenya 1. In Kenya, a counsellor or psychologist cannot recover a fee unless licensed by the Board 1. A counsellor's or psychologist's practising licence in Kenya runs for one calendar year 1.
