Motivation is the internal drive that energises, directs, and sustains your behaviour toward achieving goals and fulfilling needs. It's the psychological force that pushes you to take action, persist through challenges, and pursue what matters to you. What Is Motivation?
Motivation is the process that initiates, guides, and maintains goal-oriented behaviors. It involves the biological, emotional, social, and cognitive forces that activate behavior and give it direction and persistence. Motivation answers the question of why you do what you do, explaining the reasons behind your actions and the energy you put into pursuing different activities.
Key aspects of motivation:
Activation: The initiation of behaviour or the decision to start pursuing a goal.
Persistence: The continued effort toward goals despite obstacles and setbacks.
Intensity: The concentration and vigour with which you pursue activities.
Direction: The choice of which activities to pursue and which goals to prioritise.
Duration: How long you maintain effort toward particular objectives.
Flexibility: The ability to adapt your approach while maintaining commitment to goals.
