How Much Does Therapy Cost in Bergen in 2026?

Norway's public system charges patient fees (egenandeler) for outpatient care up to an annual ceiling: once approved fees pass 3,278 kroner in 2026, the frikort arrives automatically and further care that year is free. Children under 16 pay nothing from the start. Helsenorge's own wording: you receive the frikort "within three weeks after paying over 3,278 kroner in approved egenandeler in 2026", and the scheme runs automatically, with receipts kept only for your own checking. Public mental health care in Bergen, through your fastlege (GP) into psychiatric outpatient clinics and contracted specialists (avtalespesialister), sits inside this system: you pay the standard egenandel per visit until the ceiling, then nothing.
