What is psychotherapy, and how can it help me?
Psychotherapy is a safe, confidential space to explore your feelings, thoughts, and behaviours with a trained therapist. It's a collaborative process aimed at helping you understand yourself better, manage emotional challenges, and make positive changes in your life. Whether you're dealing with anxiety, depression, stress, or relationship issues or need someone to talk to, psychotherapy can provide valuable support and guidance.
What should I expect in my first session?
Your first session is free of charge. It is an opportunity for us to get to know each other. We'll discuss your reasons for seeking therapy, your goals, and any concerns you might have. This is a time for you to ask questions and see if you feel comfortable with me as your therapist. Remember, this is your journey, and it's important that you feel safe and understood.
How long does therapy usually last?
The length of therapy varies for each person. Some people find relief in just a few sessions, while others may benefit from longer-term support. Together, we will regularly review your progress and adjust the frequency and duration of sessions to meet your needs best.
Is everything I say in therapy confidential?
Psychotherapy is a safe, confidential space to explore your feelings, thoughts, and behaviours with a trained therapist. It's a collaborative process aimed at helping you understand yourself better, manage emotional challenges, and make positive changes in your life. Whether you're dealing with anxiety, depression, stress, relationship issues, or just need someone to talk to, psychotherapy can provide valuable support and guidance.
How do I know if therapy is right for me?
If you're feeling overwhelmed or stuck or want to understand yourself better, therapy could be a good fit. It's a personal decision, and taking the first step can feel daunting. I encourage you to reach out for a consultation, where we can discuss your needs and see if therapy feels like the right path for you.
What types of therapy do you offer?
We offer a range of therapeutic approaches tailored to your unique needs, including cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based therapy, psychodynamic and person-centred therapy. We'll work together to find the approach that resonates with you and supports your healing journey.
How can I get started?
Getting started is simple. To schedule an initial consultation, you can contact us via phone, email, or the contact form on the website. We'll discuss your needs and how to work together to achieve your goals. We are here to support you every step of the way.
What if I cancel or reschedule an appointment?
Life happens and sometimes plans change. Please let me know at least 24 hours in advance if you need to cancel or reschedule. This way, you won't be charged for the session, and we can offer the time to someone else who may need it. We can discuss any concerns you have about scheduling during our sessions.
Do you offer online or in-person therapy sessions?
At the moment, we offer only online sessions because members of our team leave for different regions across the world. In the future, we plan to have specific locations that can accommodate our clients. Online sessions provide the same level of care and confidentiality as in-person sessions, allowing you to receive support from the comfort of your own space.
How much does therapy cost? Do you accept insurance?
Since members of our team operate in various locations worldwide, insurance policies and coverage can vary. Unfortunately, we are unable to process insurance claims. For specific information about fees and payment options, please contact the therapist you will be working with directly. They can provide detailed information and work with you to find a solution that fits your budget.
