In Zimbabwe, psychologists, clinical social workers and family therapists are registered by the Allied Health Practitioners Council of Zimbabwe, the statutory regulator that checks a practitioner against the training standard the law requires.

Psychiatrists are doctors, and they answer to the Medical and Dental Practitioners Council of Zimbabwe instead. The two councils keep separate registers, so start from the title you have been given rather than from the profession you assume.

For a psychiatrist, open the Medical and Dental Practitioners Council of Zimbabwe. Search the register by name at Allied Health Professions Council of Zimbabwe (AHPCZ). A current entry is that body's own published record of the person.

Psychologist and counsellor are separate registration categories at the Allied Health Practitioners Council of Zimbabwe, each with its own requirements. Only the psychology route asks for a letter of commitment from an internship supervisor.
