I’m Zev Berkowitz, a dedicated Licensed Clinical Social Worker and former School Psychologist with over 20 years of experience, committed to guiding couples, teenagers, families, and individuals in fostering healthy relationships and navigating life's challenges. After graduating from New York University, I began my career in outpatient and inpatient clinics and group practices. My journey led me to establish a private practice in 2008, and in 2018, I founded Online Virtual Counselors to expand the reach of my expertise. As a specialist in couples therapy, I work closely with premarital, married, straight, and LGBTQ+ individuals within partnerships. My guidance, training, and certification in Imago Relationship Therapy and The Gottman Method helps clients navigate communication, intimacy, and trust issues, as well as tackle addiction and infidelity concerns. With a focus on high-conflict couples, I ensure both partners feel valued and heard. In addition to couples therapy, I am skilled in assisting teenagers and individuals struggling with anxiety disorders or panic attacks. My practice employs relationship tools, problem-solving techniques, conflict management strategies, and communication skills to bring about positive change.
