Yasmin Frantzola-Hamdy, MSc

Registered Psychotherapist

verified by TherapyRoute

I am an EAP-accredited psychotherapist, and my work is primarily informed by Existential Therapy and Emotion-Focused Therapy. I have been working in the mental health sector since 2014, and since 2021, I have been in private practice. I maintain a bilingual practice, seeing both Greek- and English-speaking clients online and in person.

About Me

I am a psychotherapist with a background in clinical social work. I have over a decade of experience in mental health and addiction care and have been in private practice since 2021.

Approach

My approach is grounded in Existential Therapy and Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT). Existential Therapy is a modality of counselling and psychotherapy with strong roots in existential phenomenological philosophy, as well as in the traditions of psychology and psychiatry. It focuses on clarifying human existence, helping individuals engage with life’s challenges in a creative, active, and reflective way to find meaning and purpose (FETE). Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT) is a research-based, humanistic approach that views emotions as central to human functioning and therapeutic change. It is an integrative model that incorporates elements of person-centered therapy, Gestalt therapy, focusing, existential, and narrative therapies (HiEFT).
