About Me

I work with adults and young adults seeking to understand themselves more fully. Getting to know oneself - body and mind - takes time. I offer long-term, high frequency psychotherapy, as well as psychoanalysis. This approach fosters a space for genuine discovery of the self and how you relate to yourself and others. I explore identity, body experience, family echoes and the practical stresses around life transitions. My aim is to help you navigate life's challenges with greater clarity, having gotten to know yourself better through psychotherapy or psychoanalysis.

Approach

Sessions focus on gently untangling recurring patterns so you begin to recognise ways of relating to the self and others that perhaps prove challenging or cause suffering. Through a fuller understanding of the self, old patterns and ways of being that no longer serve, can be changed. It is by recognising, experiencing and understanding what unconsciously drives us, motivates us, hinders us, etc., that lasting change can occur.. With psychotherapy, I mainly work with the individual in twice or thrice weekly sessions. With psychoanalysis, individuals are required to lie on the couch. Higher frequency of sessions per week helps facilitate a deeper, fuller understanding of the self.
