My ideal client is someone who is navigating life transitions, emotional challenges, or relational struggles and is seeking a safe, compassionate space to be heard, understood, and supported. They may be experiencing anxiety, stress, overwhelm, grief, relationship difficulties, or challenges with emotional regulation, and are ready to explore their inner world with curiosity and courage. I am passionate about working with individuals, children, adolescents, couples, and families who want to build healthier relationships with themselves and others. My ideal client may not have all the answers — but they are open to growth, healing, and change. I believe therapy is a collaborative journey. I work best with clients who are willing to engage in the process, reflect on their experiences, and build practical tools that support emotional wellbeing, resilience, and connection. Above all, my ideal client is someone who wants to feel more grounded, empowered, and aligned in their life — and is ready to take meaningful steps toward healing.

About Me

Hello, Reaching out for therapy can feel daunting. You might feel uncertain, overwhelmed, or even afraid, and that’s understandable. My goal is to create a space where you feel heard, supported, and safe to explore your experiences. You don’t have to face life’s challenges alone, and I would be honoured to walk alongside you. I am in the process of becoming a registered psychotherapist and am completing the clinical hours required by the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) under supervision. I am passionate about supporting individuals, couples, and families navigating life’s complexities. My approach blends empathy, evidence-based strategies, and a belief in the power of courage and connection. I also understand firsthand how life experiences can shape how we relate to ourselves and others. These experiences inform my work and deepen my understanding of the bravery it takes to seek support and make change. I provide a compassionate, non-judgmental space where you can reflect, process, and grow at your own pace. To meet your unique needs, I draw from a variety of approaches, with training and certifications in: Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) Gaslighting Awareness & Intervention Helping Clients Heal from Self-Harm: A DBT Approach for Teens Innovative Learning Series: Child Exploitation & Law I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Child and Youth Care, and upon completing my clinical hours, and hold a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology. What inspires me most in this work is witnessing people reconnect with their own strength and resilience, their courage to heal. It is deeply meaningful to see clients gain insight, experience growth, and strengthen their relationships with themselves and those they love. Whether you are navigating trauma, relationship struggles, or life transitions, I would be honoured to walk beside you. Together, we can explore new possibilities, work through challenges, and create a path forward that feels authentic, healing, and meaningful.

Approach

My approach to therapy is collaborative, trauma-informed, and grounded in compassion. I believe that meaningful change happens when clients feel emotionally safe, respected, and supported in understanding both their inner experiences and their relationships with others. I work from an integrative framework, drawing primarily from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), and attachment-based approaches. This allows me to tailor therapy to each client’s unique needs, strengths, and goals, rather than using a one-size-fits-all model. In sessions, we focus on both practical skill-building (such as emotional regulation, coping strategies, and communication tools) and deeper emotional exploration, helping clients make sense of patterns, beliefs, and relational experiences that may be contributing to distress. I move at a pace that feels safe and manageable, especially when working with trauma, identity, or attachment-related concerns. I place strong value on authentic connection, curiosity, and collaboration, viewing clients as the experts of their own lives. My role is to walk alongside you—offering guidance, reflection, and evidence-based tools—while supporting your capacity for resilience, self-compassion, and growth.

Services

I offer compassionate, client-centred therapy for children, youth, adults, couples, and families, both virtually and in person in Oshawa. My work is grounded in the belief that healing happens in safe, supportive relationships where clients feel seen, heard, and understood. I support individuals navigating anxiety, depression, emotional regulation, stress, life transitions, trauma, attachment concerns, self-esteem, and relationship challenges. I have a particular interest in working with children and youth, including those who struggle with big emotions, behavioural challenges, or feeling misunderstood, as well as with families and caregivers seeking stronger connection and communication. My approach is trauma-informed and integrative, drawing from CBT, DBT, Emotion-Focused Therapy, and attachment-based frameworks. I tailor each session to the unique needs of the client, combining practical coping strategies with deeper emotional exploration at a pace that feels safe and manageable. I am especially mindful of clients with lived experiences related to adoption, identity, family dynamics, and addiction, and I strive to create a non-judgmental space where all parts of a person’s story are welcome. Whether you are seeking support for yourself, your child, or your relationships, my goal is to walk alongside you as you build insight, resilience, and meaningful change.
