“It can be hard to imagine feeling or living differently when what we know is all we’ve ever known. My approach is psychoanalytic, which means we take time to explore, with curiosity, the patterns, conflicts, and meanings beneath the surface. Rather than looking for quick solutions, we gradually build a clearer picture of how things connect and make space to look honestly at what feels difficult. I believe that facing what is true can help us move forward, even when that truth can be painful at first.”

About me

I am a psychoanalyst in training under supervision (iAuS), based in Vienna, and I work both in person and online. I have gained clinical experience at the Sigmund Freud University Outpatient Clinic, as well as in psychiatric and psychosocial settings in Austria and Bulgaria. Some people come to therapy because they are struggling with intense feelings of guilt, shame, anxieties, anger or grief, or with an inner conflict they can't seem to resolve. Often this shows itself in repeating patterns, in feeling stuck, in a loop of self-criticism, or in trying not to feel what wants to be felt. Rather than judging what arises or seeking a quick resolution, our work together follows what emerges freely in the sessions. We explore how your past might continue to live on in the present, and we give space to your desires, phantasies, dreams and perceptions of the world. Often, people worry that looking deeper will take away a way of coping that has helped them get by, or things may feel too vague or unclear to even put into words. Whatever might be holding you back from starting, it can be talked about. My work is grounded in trust, honesty and containment. With questions and observations, I try to bring to light what may be too difficult to hold in conscious awareness alone. At the same time, lightness and humour belong in the work too.

Approach

My approach is psychoanalytic. In our sessions, you are invited to say whatever comes to mind, at your own pace, without needing to have everything figured out beforehand. In psychoanalytic therapy, symptoms are not seen as something that is simply “wrong” with you. Instead, we try to understand what they might be expressing and where they come from, including conflicts, feelings, or needs that may not yet have found another way to be expressed. Over time, connections can begin to emerge, helping you see yourself and your experiences in new ways. This can open up different ways of feeling, thinking, and relating to yourself and others. The aim is to develop greater clarity, feel more grounded in yourself, and create more space for joy in your life.
