Tina Michaela, M.Couns

Certified Professional Counselor

I believe healing begins in safe, attuned connection. Whether you are an adult navigating complex trauma, a couple working through intercultural challenges, a child expressing difficult behaviours — I offer counselling that is integrative, culturally sensitive, and deeply compassionate. Many of the people I support carry experiences that were never named, validated, or understood — moments of emotional neglect, cultural displacement, or relational wounds that continue to echo into the present. My role is to walk beside you with steadiness, respect and professional guidance, creating a space where survival patterns are honored for the protection they once offered, and gently softened so new possibilities can emerge. My commitment is to provide a shame-free, non-judgmental environment where you can reclaim your voice, reconnect with your body, and rediscover your aliveness. Healing is not about “trying harder” or being fixed; it is about being met with presence, safety, and acceptance, so that transformation and healing can unfold.

About Me

Welcome. I’m Tina Michaela. I’m a multicultural Trauma Specialist, NARM Therapist, Psychosocial Master Counsellor, Trauma Educator, and founder of a Trauma Transformation Training School. For more than 25 years, I’ve accompanied people as they move from survival into wholehearted aliveness. My work began in an unexpected place — in China, where I volunteered while raising my own children far from home. It was a time shaped by cultural displacement, isolation, and the shock of witnessing profound trauma. I work with individuals, adults and children and couples in English, German, and Chinese-speaking contexts, offering therapy and training online across borders and on-site in my practice in Vienna, Austria.

Approach

🌈 My approach blends: NARM (NeuroAffective Relational Model), Attachment & developmental trauma work, Somatic and body-based work, Mindfulness-based emotional completion, Intercultural expertise & global mobility understanding, Trauma Pedagogy & Play.

🌿 The NeuroAffective Relational Model NARM is a mind–body therapy created to treat Complex Trauma (C-PTSD) and the relational patterns that arise from early emotional wounding. It integrates principles from attachment theory, polyvagal theory, somatic psychology, and psychodynamic approaches. NARM is an integrated framework for body and mind that identifies and addresses the complex ways in which childhood trauma can manifest itself in interpersonal difficulties, maladaptive patterns, identity issues and impaired affect regulation.

🐚 I help you: Understand and unwind lifelong survival patterns, Reconnect with your true self, Reduce shame and self-blame, Build emotional regulation and resilience, Strengthen your capacity for intimacy, trust, and connection; Rediscover a sense of vitality, presence, and joy; My work with you is integrative, culturally attuned, and deeply respectful. I walk beside you — steady, attuned, grounded.
