Miss Tania Freeman

Child Psychotherapist

Creative therapist working with children and adolescents. Vast experience of working with social anxiety and emotional and behavioural difficulties.

About Me

As a creative psychotherapist, I help children, adolescents, and adults navigate complex behavioural and emotional difficulties. I believe that exploring feelings through creative methods can unlock new ways of understanding challenges. My vast experience allows me to provide a supportive space where individuals can express themselves freely. This approach is particularly helpful for those who struggle with verbal expression, fostering resilience and new ways forward.

Approach

Creativity shapes how I structure sessions — gentle openings with art, movement or play invite young people to feel seen and safe. In my Southend-on-Sea room I work at a steady, flexible pace, mixing short creative experiments with quieter reflection and sharing, and I keep parents informed between sessions when helpful. The work focuses on small, achievable steps: building social confidence, naming feelings, and creating practical strategies for behaviour and trauma recovery. Young people who struggle with words or social anxiety often find this approach grounding and practical.
