Ms Tali Lanesman

Clinical Psychologist

I offer a safe space, in person or online, where resilience and personal growth can be fostered to help you meet life's challenges.

About Me

I practice as a Clinical Psychologist in Claremont, Western Cape. I hold a South African clinical license. I help adults with anxiety, grief, life transitions, low self-esteem, and trauma through neuropsychological assessment and psychodynamic therapy.

Approach

Work usually unfolds through steady, collaborative sessions that balance careful listening with targeted inquiry, helping you notice patterns in thoughts, body sensations and relationships. I meet people from my Claremont office and across South Africa via secure video, all sessions in English, and I keep pacing responsive to what feels manageable week to week. Assessment and focused in-session experiments guide practical steps and reflective tools you can try between meetings, with attention to emotion, memory and everyday functioning. Many find this blend useful for anxiety, grief, transitions and rebuilding confidence.

Basic Information

Services

If you’ve found yourself here, I understand that there’s a struggle in your life that’s worrying you. Perhaps it's something you've been struggling with for a long-time such as a childhood trauma, long-standing symptoms of anxiety or depression, or issues in your relationships. Or, maybe it's something new and challenging, such as the loss of a loved one, a diagnosis of an illness, school/work stress, or, in this time of lockdown, any overwhelming feelings such as anxiety, guilt, anger, depression, or exhaustion.

I offer a safe space (in person with health and safety precautions, or online via Zoom) to work through whatever brings you to therapy, which can ultimately lead to improved relationships, renewed coping resources, increased self awareness, and personal growth.

I also offer neuropsychological assessments for queries around dementia and other degenerative disorders, brain injury, epilepsy, severe psychiatric disorders, and neurodevelopmental disorders. During the pandemic, part of the assessment can be done online.

Whether you’ve seen a psychologist before or this is the first time you’re considering talking to someone, or if you just have a question, please get in touch.
