Stephanie P. Morgan

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist

I help people get to the root of the problem while keeping an eye on what's practical. The goal is to develop more self awareness, more freedom to feel your feelings, live the reality of what is, grieve old hurts, and move forward with ease and possibility.

About Me

I have been helping people better their lives for over 20 years as a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I know what it's like to be in a long term marriage, be a parent, navigate complex extended family dynamics, and to lose someone you love. I am animal lover and performer.

Approach

I think of myself as a deep thinker with a practical streak. I tend to approach my clients with genuine curiosity, compassion, and genuine care. I can also be direct and straight-forward (not unkind) in ways that I think will be helpful to move the needle toward growth and healing. I use insight oriented, relational approaches plus some CBT and DBT strategies. I sometimes include mindfulness or creative arts in small ways if that is mutually agreeable.

Basic Information

Services

I have a special interest in working with men to create more satisfying relationships with the people they love. I also focus on mid-life transitions, changes that come with age, and helping people to create a meaningful, fulfilling and hopefully fun "Second Season" of life. Additionally, I'm interested in helping people integrate more creativity (creation) into their daily lives as an antidote to life's deadening and destructive forces.
