Mrs Stacey Watson-Jacobs

Educational Psychologist

I enjoy working with children, adolescents and adults who experience barriers in every day functioning, including development, learning and mental health. CBT (primary) creative expressive arts therapy, play therapy and narrative therapy. I have a special interest in working with LGBTIQA+ teens and children.

About Me

I enjoy collaborating with children, adolescents, and adults to navigate daily challenges. When facing developmental, learning, or mental health barriers, we can explore practical ways forward. I primarily use CBT, integrating creative expressive arts therapy to help you find your voice. My special interest is supporting LGBTIQA+ teens and children, creating a safe space for their unique experiences. We will work together to build confidence and new coping strategies.

Approach

When everyday challenges disrupt learning, mood or routine, I guide clients through practical, hands‑on steps that pair focused conversation with creative expression to make change feel tangible. Sessions from my Sandton office or online, in English, are gently paced and collaborative — we try ideas, notice what helps, and adjust together. You can expect brief cognitive tools, narrative or play-based experiments and small between-session tasks to practise new responses. This way of working often suits teens, parents and adults facing transitions, anxiety or learning-related barriers.
