Sophie Smetana Wagner

Clinical Mental Health Counselor

You're feeling stuck/overwhelmed with overthinking, self-doubt or comparison to others which is taking a toll on your well-being. You don't need to go through this alone. I know how hard it can be sometimes to ask for help or show up for yourself, the first step is being here and I'm here to help you on your journey!

About Me

Feeling overwhelmed by persistent overthinking, self-doubt, or comparison can be exhausting. I offer a warm, confidential space where we can gently explore these feelings together. We’ll work to understand what keeps you stuck and discover new ways to move forward. This approach is ideal if you find it hard to ask for help. I aim to provide a genuine connection as you begin your journey towards well-being.

Approach

When we begin, the focus shifts from naming worries to trying small, manageable ways to notice and change unhelpful patterns. I meet with people in Wauwatosa and online, in English, keeping sessions steady and predictable so it feels easier to show up. Sessions blend short mindfulness practices, values-focused choices, gentle skill rehearsal and practical check-ins between meetings to see what helps in real life. This approach fits well for those who like a collaborative, down-to-earth pace with clear next steps.
