Sinéad Sullivan-Paul

Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)

I work well with gifted, creative, meditative, and neurodivergent adults and youth. The right fit feels like someone who gets it, helps it make sense, centres you as the expert of your own experiences, and can bring it all home, leaving you with clarity and sense of relief after every session.

About Me

Care is my craft; I've worked with families for over 20 years, using internal systems, parts work, somatic processing, and biologically-driven relational models to empower clients with peer-reviewed clinical insight toward the confidence they need to create lasting healthy relationships. The support you need starts here. Clients tell me they feel safe and understood in our sessions, able to speak without fear of being too ‘out there.’

Approach

My research is founded in trauma work, somatic exercises, meditation techniques, mindful consumption, breathing, guided visualization, creative expression, left/right hemisphere communication, vagus nerve stimulation, family constellation therapy, EFT tapping, parts mapping, genogram, astral and philosophical inquiry, spiritual harm reduction, non-ordinary states of consciousness, sacred medicine and contemplative experience integration.

Services

I offer a combination of DBT, trauma-informed, and somatic modalities to bring you into a sense of trust through the therapeutic relationship, but most importantly with yourself. We look at past patterns, but focus primarily on how you are processing in real time and what burdens can be alleviated now. Lessening the mental and emotional load by way of IFS and mindfulness help differentiate what work is yours to undertake to change, and which were inherited by family or societal systems and can be set down. Clients have been able to access restored energy and continued momentum as the empowered drivers of their own lives.

Services Offered:

  • Internal Family Systems

A therapy model that views the mind as made up of distinct sub-personalities or 'parts', each with its own role, and works to help these parts communicate and heal under the leadership of a core Self.

  • Somatic Psychotherapy

A form of therapy focused on the connection between mind and body, using body awareness and movement to release held tension, trauma, and emotion.

  • DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy)

A structured therapy that combines cognitive behavioural techniques with mindfulness, designed to help people regulate intense emotions, tolerate distress, and improve relationships.

  • Narrative Therapy

A therapy that helps people separate themselves from their problems by exploring and reauthoring the stories they tell about their lives, drawing out values, strengths, and preferred identities.

  • Spiritual or Faith-Based Counselling

Counselling that integrates spiritual or religious beliefs into the therapeutic process for people who want faith to be part of their healing.

  • Guided Visualisation

A relaxation technique in which a therapist guides you through calming mental imagery to reduce stress, anxiety, or pain.

  • Community Psychology

A branch of psychology that addresses mental health at the community level, focusing on social factors like poverty, inequality, and access to services.

  • EMDR

Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing, a therapy that uses guided eye movements to help the brain process and integrate traumatic memories.
