Sarah Lee

Psychotherapist

I work with CPTSD, Emotional Neglect (CEN), Emotional Abuse, Children of Emotionally Immature Parents, Childhood Trauma. I also work with self esteem issues, shame and self worth.

About Me

I work with adults who identify with or suspect they have childhood trauma, including emotional abuse, emotional neglect and children of emotionally immature parents. My clients are often high achieving and successful and look 'fine' to the outside world. Inside they privately wonder if there's something wrong with them for not being as happy as they're expected to be. They are often the care takers, the peacemakers and the responsible ones which makes it hard to rely on other people or share how they're feeling.

Approach

I help clients to recognise patterns from their early life and family which still impact them now. We often learn unhelpful coping strategies as children that don't serve as as adults. They result in not knowing what we feel, finding close relationships difficult or finding it hard to trust other people. I provide guidance and feedback in sessions so you aren't left feeling alone or wondering what your therapist feels or thinks about you.
