Mr Sandya Bandara

Counselor

1991-2012 Senior Counsellor NDDCB, 2012 visiting trainer & Lecturer NDDCB, CEB

About Me

Drawing on extensive experience, I offer a grounded and compassionate space to explore your concerns. My background as a senior counsellor, alongside training and lecturing roles, informs my collaborative approach. We can work together to navigate life's complexities, fostering understanding and building practical ways forward. My aim is for you to feel truly heard and supported in our sessions.

Approach

Years at NDDCB and time as a visiting trainer have shaped how I pace sessions, attending closely to detail while setting clear, practical steps. In Kegalle I meet people face-to-face in Singales and also offer secure online sessions, so we choose the space that suits you. Sessions move between focused listening, safety planning, skill rehearsal and brief between-session tasks so patterns around addiction, anxiety or past abuse become more manageable. This way of working often fits adolescents, young adults and families seeking steady, compassionate support.
