Ms Ruth Mwangi

Licensed Professional Counselor

I have over 13 years working with young professionals on anxiety, depression, burnout, childhood trauma, grief and loss, self-awareness and self-care. I work with teens to establish their identity by exploring personality, self-value, peer interaction, family of origin, friendships and more.

About Me

I help young professionals manage anxiety, burnout, and the echoes of past trauma, fostering self-awareness and self-care. For teens, I offer a supportive space to explore personality, strengthening their unique identity and self-worth. We make sense of peer and family dynamics together. Clients find a grounded partner ready to help them navigate life’s challenges and build confident futures.

Approach

You’ll notice the work focuses on naming patterns and testing small changes — a blend of curiosity and practical skill-building that helps untangle old wounds and daily overwhelm. In Nairobi or online, in English or Kiswahili, I keep sessions collaborative and paced to your needs, with short experiments in thinking and behaviour plus gentle practice between meetings. With teens I use identity-focused prompts and role exploration; with adults we map triggers, rhythms and realistic self-care habits. Those juggling work, study or family who want steady, practical shifts often find this approach helpful.
