Rozanne Myburgh

Arts Therapist

An experienced arts therapists specialising in drama therapy, working with adults and children

About Me

As a Registered Drama Therapist, I help both adults and children express feelings and experiences that words alone can’t capture. We can explore different roles, stories, or movements together, turning challenging emotions into something understandable. This creative approach offers a unique way to gain insight and build confidence. Many find it especially helpful when traditional talk therapy feels difficult. I aim to create a space where you feel safe to discover new ways of being.

Approach

Through role-play, enactment and embodied exercises I guide sessions toward moments where feelings become visible and manageable. Sessions in Johannesburg are offered in English or Afrikaans, and I also work online; the pace is steady, responsive and negotiated with you so each meeting feels contained and purposeful. I combine creative exploration with careful observation to map patterns, support relationships and inform any assessments we agree on, often suggesting small reflective tasks between sessions. This way suits children, adolescents and adults who learn by doing and feeling.
