Mr Rob Hamilton

Clinical Psychologist

verified by TherapyRoute

Well-experienced, solution-focused clinical psychologist, helping adolescents, adults and couples from diverse backgrounds. I also provide walking psychotherapy to individuals uncomfortable with conventional therapy sitting indoors, who prefer sessions outdoors engaged in light exercise with their therapist.

About Me

I work with adolescents, adults, and couples from diverse backgrounds, helping them find practical solutions. My approach is well-experienced and client-centred. If traditional indoor sessions feel daunting, I offer walking psychotherapy. We can talk while moving outdoors, combining light exercise with our conversation. This unique setting provides a comfortable, active space to explore your concerns and move forward.

Approach

You’ll notice a practical, steady pace: sessions blend focused conversation with simple mindfulness and CBT techniques, whether we meet outdoors on foot or online. I use short, collaborative experiments between sessions—journals, graded exposure, or behaviour changes—to track what’s working and adjust plans. Therapy is conversational but goal-orientated, with space for grief, identity, addiction or relationship concerns to be explored safely. This way suits teens, adults and partners who want clear steps and real-world change.
