About Me

I have always been curious about people and how our experiences shape and influence us throughout our lives. This led to me pursuing psychology. I trained as a Counselling Psychologist at the University of Pretoria and completed my internship at the Student Counselling Unit. During my training, I worked at Louis Botha and Jakaranda Children's Home in Pretoria, a community-based mental health Clinic on UP's Mamelodi Campus (Itsoseng Clinic) and at Stabilis Treatment Centre. I have worked in private practice since 2018 and have worked in Higher Education for the past 7 years, providing academic and psychological support to students in the STEM fields. I offer online consultations.

Approach

Each person is unique with their own life circumstances and challenges. As such, my approach to therapy focuses on you and your needs, while also providing you with a space to explore, grow and learn practical steps to make life a little less challenging. I prefer to use an eclectic approach to therapy, utlising aspects of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Schema Therapy and Solution-Focused Therapy. I have been trained in Level 1 BrainWorking Recursive Therapy.
