Hello, I’m Lily. As an integrative counsellor, I bring together a range of cutting-edge psychotherapy tools tailored uniquely to your individual needs. My goal is to help you experience clear, lasting, and positive change in the shortest period of time possible, ensuring you feel supported every step of the way. Whether you are navigating the suffocating fog of depression, the constant hum of anxiety, or the complex layers of identity and trauma, I am here to hold space for you. I can deliver Counselling and Hypnotherapy Services in both English and Mandarin.

About Me

I have always believed that the heart of true healing lies in the therapeutic relationship. Technical skills matter, but they only truly work when you feel heard, safe, and understood. Eight years ago, inspired by the transformative power of therapy in my own life, I began my career supporting children and students. Today, I work with individuals aged 16 to 75, helping them navigate everything from modern-day burnout to deep-seated struggles with addiction, self-harm, and loss of meaning. As an LGBTQ+ affirmative and culturally sensitive counsellor, I believe therapy should be as diverse as the people seeking it. I offer a flexible, non-judgmental space where your personal story is honored and your path to healing is prioritised. To better serve my clients, I went on to obtain my Diploma in Professional Therapeutic Counselling and a specialist Diploma in Cultural Competence. I also had extensive training in trauma therapy, grief and bereavement therapy as well as relationship therapy. These qualifications transformed the way I work; they gave me a profound insight into how our unique cultural, social, and economic backgrounds shape our pain and our resilience. I believe in meeting people wherever they are, even in their darkest moments. My experience includes: Addiction Support: Providing Counselling Service within NHS Recovery Steps to support those battling dependency. Crisis Care: Providing counselling service with a Mental Health Crisis Support Charity, providing a lifeline when it was needed most.

Approach

My way of working depends on the age group of my clients. Every person is different, which is why I don’t believe in a "one size fits all" approach. I hold specialist certifications in Rewind Trauma and Phobia Therapy and Grief and Bereavement, and I often integrate creative methods like drawing, Narrative Therapy, EMDR tapping, and Internal Family Systems (IFS). In our sessions, I draw upon this diverse toolkit to find the specific methods-usually one or two-that will benefit you most in that moment. Whether we are talking through a difficult memory or using creative tools to express what words cannot, my focus is always on what helps you move forward. My Approaches Include: The Rewind Technique (Trauma Therapy): For fast, effective processing of traumatic memories and PTSD symptoms without needing to re-tell the details. Internal Family Systems (IFS / Parts Work): For deep healing and long-lasting emotional stability by understanding and harmonizing different parts of yourself. CBT (Top-Down Approach): Applied flexibly to help manage thoughts and behaviors when you need practical, everyday tools. Somatic Therapy (Bottom-Up Approach): Gentle, body-based techniques designed to calm and regulate an overwhelmed nervous system. Narrative Therapy: Helping you separate yourself from your problems and reshape the story of your life and identity. A Supportive Foundation: My practice is rooted in Person-Centred therapy (offering warm, non-judgmental acceptance) and enriched by Psychodynamic therapy, Transactional Analysis (TA), and Attachment Theory to help understand how your past and relational history shape your present. Collaborative Approach: Moving away from being an "authority figure" to being a "trusted ally." I offer walk and talk therapy in the safe greenery area, or with animal assistant, I have a rabbit and two cats who appeared to be very helpful to some of my young clients. 3. Adults (Ages 18–65) Adults often seek therapy for specific life transitions, trauma, or stress. Goal-Oriented (CBT/SFBT): Focus on identifying patterns and finding practical solutions. Psychodynamic: Exploring how past experiences and childhood attachments influence current relationships. Integrative: Combining different theories (e.g., Person-Centered and Gestalt) to fit their specific personality. 4. Older Adults (65+) Focus often shifts toward legacy, grief, and physical changes. Reminiscence Therapy: Encouraging the client to share life stories to find meaning and resolve past conflicts. Existential Therapy: Addressing fears regarding mortality and the search for continued purpose. Accessibility: I offer online therapy or potentially home visit for clients with limited movement capability.
