Ms Procheta Mahanta

Licensed Clinical Psychologists

An experienced, professional and dedicated therapist working with individuals of all ages and psychological disorders and individuals diagnosed with cancer.

About Me

I offer dedicated support to individuals of all ages navigating various psychological challenges. My broad experience as a Licensed Clinical Psychologist allows me to provide comprehensive care. As a Fellow in Psycho-Oncology, I specialise in sensitively guiding those coping with a cancer diagnosis. Whether seeking general well-being or specific support, I create a professional, compassionate space where your unique needs are truly understood.

Approach

Drawing on clinical experience, I structure each session around your priorities, combining careful assessment with focused psychotherapy so pace and goals match what feels manageable. In Guwahati and online, in Bengali, English or Hindi/Urdu, I work collaboratively with individuals, parents and families to explore emotions, adjust behaviour and develop practical coping strategies. Sessions are paced and gentle—brief mindfulness practices, targeted reflections and between-session tasks help consolidate change. This way of working suits those facing anxiety, life transitions, mood difficulties or cancer-related challenges.
