Miss Pranita Paunikar
Counselor
“I am a competent Counselling Psychologist who believes in integrating different therapy approaches to suit what works best with each individual client. I believe in the importance of taking small steps towards positive change and the lack of self-love being at the root of a person's emotional distress.”
About Me
Approach
My foundational approach consists of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), shown to be the most evidence-based therapy. I also use this in conjunction with Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), which allows me to keep my eyes open for the client's strengths and solutions that might already be working for them. This allows me to tailor-make an intervention to the uniqueness of each client.
I have found mindfulness practices to be quite effective and thereby I use them in my sessions at times, tailoring it to make it enjoyable for the client to practice.
