Ms Portia Mandiwana

Clinical Psychologist

My journey as a psychotherapist has taught me that emotional instability is inivitable. The abilies to overcome depend on the reaction to such turmoils. The latter is usually accompanied by emotional tension. Psychotherapy becomes a process of emotional cleanse also known as catharsis.

About Me

Emotional instability is part of life, often bringing significant tension. I understand that overcoming these turmoils depends on our reaction. I guide you through a process of emotional cleanse, supporting you to release pent-up feelings. This approach, often called catharsis, can bring profound relief. If you are grappling with difficult emotions, we can work together. My aim is to help transform tension into greater clarity and calm.

Approach

When tension surfaces in your life I help you channel it into focused, manageable steps that allow intense feelings to be noticed, expressed and worked through. In my Louis Trichardt consulting room and online, in English or any of the local languages you prefer, sessions move at a pace that respects your limits while encouraging gentle challenge. We use brief assessments, present-moment skills and values‑based planning so overwhelm becomes clearer and more actionable between meetings. Those facing loss, addiction, attention or major life shifts often find this steady, practical way helpful.
