Mr Pfarelo Ndou

Registered Counselor

I am a Registered Counselor who love working with adolescents, my speciality is in trauma, bereavement and anger management

About Me

Adolescence can bring unique challenges, especially when navigating trauma, loss, or overwhelming anger. As a Registered Counsellor, I love working with young people to explore these difficult feelings. We create a safe space to process experiences and develop practical strategies. I help them manage strong emotions, build resilience, and find healthier ways forward. This approach helps young people move towards greater well-being.

Approach

Helping teens through trauma, loss and overwhelming anger looks practical and paced: I listen, name feelings and then introduce small, doable steps to regain control. In my Johannesburg sessions (offered in English, Tshivenda and isiXhosa) the room is calm and focussed, and between meetings I offer simple exercises or safety plans to practice. Sessions often include emotion-mapping, short skills practice and role rehearsal so new responses land in real life. This approach suits young people who want concrete tools to feel steadier and remain connected.
