Pathfinder Therapy
Therapy Practice
“Pathfinder Therapy offers trauma-informed counselling and psychotherapy for adults navigating change, loss, identity shifts, and the emotional impact of living internationally. We work with people who feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsettled, even when life on the outside appears successful. Our approach is relational, steady, and grounded in safety. We pay careful attention to the nervous system, attachment patterns, and the ways past experiences shape present reactions. Many of our clients live abroad, work in high-responsibility roles, or have backgrounds in the military or other demanding professions. Some come with diagnoses such as PTSD, complex trauma, anxiety, depression, or burnout. Others simply know something no longer feels sustainable. Therapy here is not rushed and not overly clinical. We begin by building regulation and trust. From that foundation, we explore patterns, relational dynamics, and identity themes at a pace that feels manageable. We draw from Transactional Analysis, attachment theory, and contemporary trauma research, integrating somatic awareness where helpful. Whether you are adjusting to life in Portugal, managing significant life transitions, or seeking deeper understanding of yourself and your relationships, we provide a structured, compassionate space in which meaningful change can occur.”
