Mrs Niovi Stavropoulou

Chartered Psychologist

An experienced Psychologist and Art Psychotherapist working with children and adolescents with a wide range of of difficulties or disorders .

About Me

I help children and adolescents explore big feelings and navigate challenges using art. As an experienced Psychologist and Art Psychotherapist, I know words aren't always easy for young people. Through creative expression, we can explore difficult emotions together. This can be especially helpful when feelings are too big for words. It offers a safe, non-verbal way for them to make sense of their experiences and build resilience.

Approach

Sessions usually begin with a simple choice of materials and a relaxed question about how things are going, letting the young person set the pace and tone. Whether we meet in my Athens studio or online, in English or Greek, the environment stays predictable yet adaptable so safety and creativity can grow together. Through short, playful tasks, pauses for drawing or movement, and gentle moments of reflection, feelings become clearer and new coping steps are practised between meetings. This way of working often helps young people facing anxiety, trauma, attention or relationship difficulties.
