Mrs Nicole Soames

Educational Psychologist

I have a special interest in working with children and adolescents, offering therapy and assessments. Assisting parents and teachers too.

About Me

I specialise in supporting children and adolescents, helping them explore challenges and build confidence. My work includes both therapy and comprehensive assessments to understand their specific needs. I also extend practical support to parents and teachers. This ensures young people receive consistent understanding and strategies, fostering growth across home and school.

Approach

Work begins by listening to the young person and gathering observations from caregivers and educators to build a clear picture. In my Cape Town room, sessions feel paced to the child's rhythm, using play, brief tasks and talking so we can both try out ideas in real time. Between meetings I offer practical feedback and clear recommendations from evaluations that teachers and families can use straight away. This approach tends to suit families looking for understandable, school-aware guidance.
