About Me

As a Canadian Certified Counselor(CCC) and an Art Therapist, my goal is to help my clients approach their challenges in manageable and meaningful ways. Since the beginning of time, humans have turned to the arts or other symbolic practices to explore the complexities of life. Art Therapy is based on this innate nature and is developed from the understanding that much of our experience is difficult to put into words. Through my work with diverse populations, I have a deep understanding of both practical and emotional needs as well as a strong belief in how non-verbal therapies skillfully access to our innermost states.

Approach

I am a South Asian, trauma-informed Art Therapist and Counselor whose practice is grounded in psychodynamic, humanistic, and existential approaches. Growing up as a third-culture kid shaped my understanding of identity, belonging, and the many layers that contribute to a person’s sense of self. I believe that each individual possesses an innate capacity for growth, insight, and change. Therapy offers a supportive space to access these inner resources more fully, deepen self-understanding, and develop meaningful ways of coping with life’s challenges. Through a collaborative therapeutic relationship, I help clients navigate pain, build resilience, and create greater meaning and connection in life.
