Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist

verified by TherapyRoute

I help individuals who are tired of managing symptoms and are ready to address the emotional roots of their anxiety, depression, or relationship struggles. Using a focused, somatic approach, we will collaborate to uncover the true feelings beneath your defenses, fostering the emotional resilience needed for lasting change.

About Me

I am a psychodynamic psychotherapist with over 14 years of clinical experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families. My work is rooted in depth-oriented therapy, which works with Somatic (bodily) experience, affective/emotional states, cognitive processes (values and belief systems) and relational factors to facilitate change while being developmentally informed. I view therapy as a rigorous and collaborative process, one that strengthens emotional capacity, deepens self-understanding, and supports more secure and authentic relationships.

Approach

My approach is rooted in ISTDP, a rigorous, collaborative process that honors the complexity of your emotional life. We don’t just stay on the surface; we look at the visceral ways your body holds onto stress and the unconscious ways you might be protecting yourself from pain. This work is intensive and deeply relational. Rather than just talking about your problems, we work together in the 'here-and-now' to identify the internal blocks and defenses that hold you back. By tracking how your body and emotions respond in real-time, we can bypass old patterns of anxiety and self-sabotage, allowing you to access your true feelings and live more authentically.
