About Me

I am Minishka A. Naidoo, an Educational Psychologist based in Raslouw, Centurion, with a passion for helping individuals navigate emotional, academic, behavioural, and developmental challenges in a supportive and meaningful way. I believe in creating a therapeutic space where clients feel comfortable, respected, and empowered to explore their experiences at their own pace. My work is grounded in empathy, authenticity, and collaboration, with a strong focus on recognising each individual’s unique strengths and personal journey. I value building trusting relationships with clients and supporting them in developing insight, resilience, confidence, and practical coping skills that can enhance their overall wellbeing and daily functioning.

Approach

My therapeutic approach is warm, collaborative, and tailored to the unique needs of each individual. I draw from a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Play Therapy. I aim to create a safe and supportive environment where clients feel comfortable exploring their thoughts, emotions, and experiences. My work focuses on helping individuals better understand themselves, develop practical coping skills, build emotional resilience, and work towards meaningful and achievable goals. When working with children, I incorporate play-based techniques to support emotional expression, communication, and development in an age-appropriate manner. I also value the importance of collaboration with parents, caregivers, schools, and other professionals to ensure holistic and effective support.
