Ms Michelle DeCola

Psychotherapist

My specialization is helping people feel less anxious and depressed, and build healthy and close relationships to feel more peace and fulfillment in their lives. (25 years).

About Me

Welcome! Investing in your mental/emotional wellness is the key to your happiness and peace. My passion is helping people create more meaningful relationships, and developing mindfulness practices that help you understand how to feel less anxious and/or depressed. I offer a dedicated space to explore all relationship issues, anxiety and depression. . In our therapy relationship, my guidance is to help individuals and couples cultivate the skills to understand their feelings, and the origins of any trauma, losses, and past hurts that are affecting your happiness. My work over the past 30 years includes CBT, Mindfulness practices, Emotionally Focused Therapy, IFS informed therapy, and a background in Gottman informed practices. I look forward to supporting you in your journey.

Approach

I help people lower anxiety and lift mood while repairing closeness through steady, focused sessions that blend skills practice with honest reflection. In my Louisville office and by secure video, work moves between short experiments in session and simple, doable tasks between meetings so insights become habits. I use both one-on-one and group settings to test new ways of relating, track patterns linked to addiction or mood shifts, and adjust pacing to what feels manageable. This approach fits adults and couples ready for practical, relational change.
