Michelle Barsky

Licensed Mental Health Counselor

Trauma-informed psychotherapy using Internal Family Systems (IFS), EMDR, & AEDP to help heal attachment trauma, anxiety, and depression.

About Me

When anxiety, depression, or trauma weigh heavily, finding a path forward can feel daunting. I offer compassionate psychotherapy, tailoring each session to your unique needs and experiences. We can explore what feels most challenging, working together to find strategies that bring genuine relief. My aim is to create a supportive space where you feel truly heard and understood.

Approach

Using IFS, EMDR, and AEDP, I guide sessions with gentle curiosity toward parts, body sensations, and the relationships that shape your reactions. I meet adults in New York and online in English, creating a steady rhythm—check‑ins, paced somatic interventions, and brief between‑session invitations to notice what shifts. Sessions move at your tempo: we experiment with resourcing, safe memory work, and relational repair while tracking tolerability and agency. People who’ve struggled with persistent anxiety, low mood, or attachment wounds often find this steady, embodied pathway helpful.
