Mr Michael Leak

Specialist Wellness Counselor

Every person’s life, feelings, and experiences are unique. That’s why my approach to counselling is tailored to your individual needs. In our first few sessions, we’ll focus on understanding your world, how you experience it, how you feel about the people in it, and what matters most to you. This helps me build a clear picture of your inner landscape. We’ll also explore your goals and expectations for therapy, recognising that beginning this journey takes courage, commitment, and patience — with yourself and with the process.

About Me

I offer a supportive space to navigate difficult feelings and reduce pain. Together, we can explore your experiences, uncovering insights and opportunities within suffering. This collaborative approach helps you build a more purposeful, expansive, and meaningful life. If you are seeking clarity and growth, I aim to help you find your way forward with renewed purpose.

Approach

I draw from a rich blend of evidence-based modalities to support individuals, couples, and families in meaningful transformation. These approaches are more than techniques—they reflect my core values. I invite courage and commitment, helping clients live in alignment with what matters most, even in the face of emotional pain. I foster self-improvement and optimism, guiding people to reshape limiting beliefs and build healthier thought patterns. I bring compassion to the forefront, supporting emotional processing and authentic connection in relationships. My work is informed by Jungian principles that help shape the therapeutic experience. I draw on tools and concepts that invite exploration of the unconscious, integration of the shadow, and a deeper understanding of personal meaning. These elements support clients in reconnecting with their inner world, embracing complexity, and moving toward a more authentic and integrated sense of self.

Basic Information

Services

In one-on-one work, my role is to listen deeply, reflect thoughtfully, and help you clarify your own understanding. I aim to walk beside you into the parts of your life that may feel overwhelming or difficult to face alone. Together, we’ll shine a light on those areas, not to judge, but to understand, heal, and grow. This process invites self-improvement and optimism, as you reconnect with your values and begin to move forward with greater clarity and strength. In relationship work, I help both partners explore what’s happening individually and within the relationship itself. We’ll look at how each person shows up with their strengths and their struggles and understand and how these dynamics shape the current situation. Through honest reflection and shared vulnerability, I support couples in holding themselves accountable and applying practical tools to strengthen connection, resolve conflict, and build a more compassionate partnership.
