Mrs Mercedes Berrio

CBT Psychotherapist

I am a fully qualified and registered Counsellor with training and experience in various counselling techniques which I draw upon including CBT.

About Me

I understand that seeking support can feel like a big step. As a fully qualified and registered counsellor, I draw on various techniques, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). I help clients understand their thoughts and feelings, and develop practical strategies for managing challenges. My aim is to offer a structured yet compassionate space where you can gain clarity and find a way forward.

Approach

Together we focus on small, practical steps that map onto your day-to-day life, using CBT techniques to make unhelpful patterns visible and change achievable. Sessions in Cambridge or online, in English or Spanish, are structured but relaxed, with time for skill-building, reflection and brief between-session tasks. I track progress week to week, addressing anxiety, anger, procrastination or relationship patterns with clear experiments you can try between meetings. This way of working suits adolescents and adults who want collaborative, practical support that fits busy lives.
