Mengyao Yuan

Psychotherapist

I'm a psychodynamic therapist working with adults in person. I also provide clinical supervision.

About Me

As a psychodynamic psychotherapist, I offer a dedicated space for adults to deeply explore their inner world. We can work together to understand how past experiences shape present feelings and behaviours. This approach helps you gain deeper insight into long-standing difficulties. You might find this helpful if you're seeking lasting change and a clearer sense of yourself. My in-person sessions provide a consistent, confidential setting.

Approach

You’ll notice a steady, reflective pace as we gently track recurring feelings and relationship patterns into your present life, exploring how they turn up in daily choices and moods. In my Edinburgh consulting room we work in person, with space for English or Mandarin, so sessions feel grounded and contained. I introduce timely questions, observations and short reflections between meetings to help you test new ways of relating to yourself and others. This suits adults seeking deeper, lasting understanding and clearer emotional direction.
