Ms Mehak Bawa, MA

Psychologist

verified by TherapyRoute

At the heart of my work lies a client-first approach: building on therapy spaces that center clients' stories and facilitating therapeutic journeys that allow them to feel more empowered in responding to life experiences.

About Me

I hold a masters in clinical psychology and have worked extensively with adolescents, adults and families. I am a queer and neurodivergent affirmative practitioner and deeply appreciate co-creating safe, meaningful and inclusive spaces.

Approach

I practice from a trauma-informed narrative orientation that positions people as the experts in their own lives, and holds paramount the insights they have acquired through their lived experiences. I value the sense of identity each person carries and aim to promote their sense of agency and well-being through our work together. I view therapy as a relational and collaborative process, and my therapeutic presence is often rooted in the here and now with a focus on building emotional resonance and inviting people’s hopes, strengths, and knowledges.
