Matt McKevitt

Licensed Clinical Social Workers

I provide teletherapy services for NY and NJ to all ages. My work incorporates a variety of methods, most prominently DBT.

About Me

I offer teletherapy across NY and NJ, guiding individuals of all ages through life's complexities. My approach prominently features Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). This provides concrete skills to manage difficult emotions and build stronger connections. We'll explore practical strategies together, helping you navigate challenges and find a clearer way forward. Clients often find this approach helpful when they are seeking actionable tools for daily resilience.

Approach

Rather than only explaining strategies, sessions move at a practical, focused pace where we try techniques together and adjust them in real time. I meet with clients via secure video from my Wyckoff office, serving New York and New Jersey, and keep sessions structured yet flexible to fit family, work, or school rhythms. We set small, measurable goals, practice skills in-session, and use short between-session experiments to test what helps with mood, relationships, or transitions. This collaborative way tends to suit people seeking clear steps and steady progress.
