Masha Wazny

Professional Counselor

Starting therapy can feel daunting, but you don’t have to do it alone. I offer trauma-informed, culturally sensitive support in Russian and English, blending ACT, somatic, and attachment-based approaches to help you feel safe, seen, and connected—both with yourself and others.

About Me

I understand that reaching out for support takes courage. We can gently explore your experiences, integrating body awareness and relational approaches. This helps cultivate a profound sense of inner safety. My aim is to foster a space where you feel truly seen and understood. We will build genuine connection with yourself and others. This collaborative process is ideal for those navigating past difficulties.

Approach

To help the sense of safety you’ve been cultivating translate into everyday moments, I blend brief, focused check-ins with gentle somatic grounding and values-driven experiments that you can try between sessions. Sessions are held in English or Russian, in person in Calgary or online, paced to your comfort and practical life demands. We notice small shifts—breath, posture, choices—and use mindful reflection to connect those shifts to relationships, mood, and identity. This steady, embodied way of working often suits people facing anxiety, grief, or burnout.
