Mrs Lynda Britchford

Psychotherapist (Registered)

Professional compassionate trauma therapy, online. Resolution and reduction of the symptoms of post traumatic stress - do you experience nightmares, flashbacks, intrusive memories? Are you frequently triggered into distress? I am trained in a range of trauma approaches, - lets support you to feel better.

About Me

Online trauma therapy. At your pace, in your way. I help you to untangle the messy, confusing parts of your story and move towards something that feels calmer, kinder, and more liveable. I work with people navigating trauma, distress and life transitions... including those from marginalised or misunderstood communities. Therapy with me is relational, personalised, and grounded in anti-oppressive, evidence-based practice. Im a safe space for trans, non binary and gender expansive clients, and I work hard to be a neurodivergent inclusive space. If this sounds like it would work for you, please get in touch.

Approach

When you're feeling distressed, I help you slow the pace and gently track sensations, images and thoughts, so your overwhelm becomes more manageable. Online from the safety of a familiar environment, no need for travel. I blend clear psychoeducation with practical skills and resourcing, and careful pacing so you learn ways to interrupt and manage intrusive thoughts and feelings. Helping you to move through life feeling more steady and secure, and if you want to, to process difficult experiences so they aren't weighing you down.
