Verified

I am a Registered Counsellor with a special interest in trauma, eating disorders, anxiety and other mental health challenges.

About Me

I'm a Registered Counsellor registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA). Over the past eight years, I have worked in specialist eating disorder treatment, psychiatric settings, addiction rehabilitation, schools, and private practice. I have a particular passion for supporting individuals experiencing eating disorders and disordered eating. I also work extensively with anxiety, trauma, substance use, emotion regulation difficulties, relationship concerns, parenting challenges, and the lasting impact of childhood experiences. I offer both in-person and online counselling, providing therapy in English and Afrikaans.

Approach

Therapy is not one-size-fits-all. My work is grounded in a psychodynamic approach, exploring how past experiences, relationships, and unconscious patterns may influence your present. At the same time, I recognise that every individual is unique, and I therefore incorporate various evidence-based therapeutic tools to meet your specific needs. My aim is to provide a compassionate, collaborative space where you feel heard, supported, and gently challenged, encouraging insight, growth, and lasting change. I am committed to creating an inclusive, affirming, and non-judgemental environment where everyone feels safe, respected, and understood.
