Leila May

Mrs Leila May Bolland

Registered Social Worker

I'm a social worker with experience in group work, counselling, art therapy & trauma counselling. I am registered with the SACSSP (Reg no. 10-38093) and have been practicing since 2015. I treat every client with confidentiality and professionalism.

About Me

I offer a confidential and professional space where we can explore life's complexities together. Drawing on my experience in Counseling and trauma work, I specially guide individuals through challenging experiences. If you find words difficult, we might use art therapy to express feelings and find clarity. This approach is ideal for those seeking a supportive environment to navigate personal challenges.

Approach

Sessions move at your pace, often pairing gentle talking with creative expression to access what words can't hold. I work from Cape Town and online, offering space in English or Afrikaans for individual, group or parent-focused meetings. We use simple art tasks alongside grounding and reflective questions; between sessions I may suggest short practical exercises and touch base when useful to keep progress steady. This way of working suits people facing trauma, burnout, parenting strain or addiction who want practical, compassionate tools to manage overwhelm.
